Portuguese For BJJ: Body Parts

Learning body parts is essential to understanding or teaching a BJJ class in Portuguese.

To teach a basic technique you only need to be able to string together basic sentences. Take the kimura for example:

Step 1: Grab your opponents hand.

Step 2: Slide your free hand under your opponents arm.

Step 3: Grab your own wrist.

Step 4: Lift your opponents elbow.

Think about what your favorite technique is, and what words you need to explain it! Don’t forget to keep it simple when you first start off!
