During the ADCC South American trials that took place February 5th in Balneario Camboriu, Brazil, our team got a chance to talk to Hywel Teague, the man behind Flograppling.

Teague is a native of Wales, but he was residing in Rio before he moved to Austin, Texas to take a job as a senior editor of Flograppling. While living in Rio, Teague worked as a sports journalist, highlighting the behind the scenes of the jiu-jitsu lifestyle of BJJ black belts like Fernando Terere and Jackson Sousa on BJJ Hacks

The experience gave him a first hand look at the amount of talented athletes living in the periphery of Brazil’s BJJ Scene.
